Falling in love all over with each other again: 31st October 2010
Even after 24hours of our special day, we still feel so surreal about the whole matter. It was a day where we fell in love with each other all over again. The feeling was something we have not felt ever before. It was very much like first love, yet engulfed with committment, feeling of belonging to each other and deep connection. We have gotten engaged on 31st October 2010! :)
~The Mission by Mr Jon
Jon has been thinking about proposing for a few months. I have been hinting (anxious! :P) and yet, he remained his cool, waiting for the right moment. He had a few ideas, wanting to really make it so memorable, so special for his darling. He emailed his friends about his ideas and asked for votes. In the end, the decision came to one. So one night he came to me:
Jon: Dawn! I have a friend from Samsung who has 2 free tickets to universal studio on 31st! Isn't it God's blessing?
Dawn: Wow! Thank God! What are the conditions? Do we have to buy anything from them? Is it a publicity event?
Jon: Hm, i think its some kind of event they are having. I checked with my friend...just towards the end of the whole event, we have to do something for them. My friend told me it will not shame us or anything. So, we just go and enjoy ourself okie?
Dawn: *excited*!! Ok!
So, on 31st, we met at 9am Habour Front for a nice KFC breakfast. Jon is so cute. He said we will reach at 10am to be the first few couples to go into Universal studio! He proudly show me the 2 envelopes given by Samsung, telling me that we could only open upon going into Universal Studio. As we were getting our KFC breakfast, he made me sit down, wanting to get for me. I insisted that I can get breakfast for myself...he replied.."Today, i just want to treat you as my princess.." That statement just touched my heart :))) Yes, you are prince charming.
Here we are at Universal Studio. We opened the 1st Samsung envelope which states that we have to reach Takashimaya at 4.30 so we can enjoy ourselves very much! We borrowed Issac (Jacintha's friend) SLR camera and started snapping many pictures. :) (Hm...why am i touching his stomach>!!) Heheee..
We had alot alot of fun at Universal Studio. The weather is so good! Thank God! And that place is such a fantasy! There are a few segments of Universal Studio: Hollywood street, Jurassic Park, Shrek, Far Far away land, Science-fic, Return of Mummy! Its all a real treat for all our senses!
God is GOOD to us!! :)
Madagascar ride! :) We took a few different rides at Jurassic Park & The return of the Mummy etc. Our favourite is actually the in-door rollar coaster at the Return of the Mummy! Its truly a thrilling experience! :))) Even though i am super scared when it comes to rides like that but I really love the ride!

Exchanging rings...The rings were not really the usual proposal ring..but only a ring to signify this engagement. Hahaa..we were laughing because it was too big for us :))) but, its alright.
Pastor Klein and Uncle willie prayed for both of us. It was a special moment for both of us.
My mom was so touched throughout the engagement. She came to tell me..and everyone..that she can entrust me to Jon because he loves me so much. Before, she was concerned..she doesn't know Jon..but now, she told me that whatever she said before, she will take back her words. I thank God that Jon has found favor in my mom's eyes..which is important for me. :) And, Jon is super charming that no one will not approve of him. :))) Ok, its God's favor too!

I echoed Jon's words "I just want to be with you..I just want to spend the rest of my life with you.." and Dawn "I just feel so connected to you..so belonged to you and I just want to be with you." Its really a very beautiful moment for both of us.

Looking at where to go next! :) Let the man decide :))Right..there were so many things to do and so many pictures to take that when we left Universal studio and reached Habour Front MRT, it was 4.15pm! Mad rush!! I was quite anxious and worried that we have to pay the tickets if we did not reach on time!! We literally ran from Somerset MRT to Takashimaya and reached at 4.35pm! When we reach takashimaya, we have to open the next envelope and it states for us to reach Cinneleisure at 4.45pm. Again, we ran really fast to level 6. In my mind, I was just thinking what task do we have to do to not pay for the universal tickets. Jon was very sweet...he kept apologising for making me tired..making me run.. You are so sweet LAH! Heehee...
When we reached Level 6, there was a guy who came to welcome us. He claimed that he was a representative from Samsung and told us we were one of the last couples who arrived and most of them are ahead of us. I was like thinking in my mind...."huh-duh. Do we have to pay for the tickets?" Then, he told flashed out 3 envelopes A, B and C and asked me to pick one. We have to fulfill the task. So, when he opened the envelope, he told us we have to watch a 2 hour movie, but to note the commercials. And, only the girlfriends can watch the commercials to tell the boyfriends. So he blindfold both of us....and Jon was holding my hand tightly. I was so nervous..and don't want to be left alone without Jon. When we were led to the cinema, he pulled Jon away and took off my blindfold. I turned and see who else was inside the cinema and saw Thomas Ee..I was thinking...Ehm..was it thomas? But that Samsung guy signalled me to focus on the commercial..and so, i did..determined not to pay the tickets and helped Jon.
When they play the commercial, there was a familar duck sound..!! And then, a familar voiceover..and Jon's picture started coming out! I was like....!! What's that? I saw my beloved's pictures..and then a puppet saying introducing Jon and Dawn...! I was like.."Oh no..what's going on?" Then I saw our pictures coming out..then finally Jon himself came out to say.."Who say Jon cannot be in the movies? But that's not the point....Dardear..will you marry me?" I was super super shocked! Then Jon appeared from the cinema behind and kneeled and asked for my "Yes." I was like super duper shocked! I didn't want him to kneel and said "yes" to him. When he put the ring into my finger...and took a seat beside me, he told everyone in the cinema that there will be a 2 hour movie for everyone to enjoy. I looked behind and saw all of his friends and mine! I was super stunned! I looked at my dear and smilingly said "you are crazy!" Everyone heard it and laughed. Dear..only you have a bag full of tricks..but tricks to show me how much you love me, cared for me, cherish me and want me. :) How can I ever love you enough?
The movie made everything more surreal. it was a movie called "Kamui" and it was super bloodly. Hahaa..what a funny combination! Jacintha messaged Jon and told him his commercial was more interesting than the movie! :P I wasn't concentrating on the movie. I was still stunned, shocked and not sure how to react.
After the movie, we had a engagement tea reception. My prince charming has invited all to come and be witnesses of the engagement.." I want everyone to witness that I will stay faithful to you."
